Nigel Finch

Nigel is an accounting, finance and treasury specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in business management.

He is a lecturer at Australia's leading business school, Macquarie Graduate School of Management, ranked in the top 40 business schools in the world. Nigel teaches subjects in the disciplines of accounting, banking and finance.

Nigel has worked as a financial controller, investment manager and executive director and along with lecturing provides business solutions specifically in the fields of corporate tax, balance sheet management, financial instrument and hedge accounting.

As an experienced facilitator across a range of industries, Nigel regularly presents in-house training programs to senior management and front-line staff aimed at delivering improved financial performance.

Nigel is a senior associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a member of the National Institute of Accountants, a fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management, a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Nigel also holds a Public Practice Certificate in Accounting.

He holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting (MCom) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, where he is currently a doctoral candidate in their PhD program. His thesis is investigating the uses and abuses of 'creative accounting' in Australia.
